Urnes Viking Clasp

Finish off your medieval or Viking ensemble by adding the Urnes Viking Clasp. It brings both functionality and wonderful style. Made from bronze, this silver-plated clasp comes in two pieces. One piece has a loop, while the other has a hook. Based on pieces from the late Viking age, intricate figure-eight-style knotwork forms the two parts of the clasp. The knotwork begins and ends with a pair of serpent heads creating a triangular shape. Also, the serpent heads face away from each other when the clasp is closed. There are three eyelets. An eyelet is at each corner of the triangular knotwork. Those eyelets allow the clasp to attach to a garment, if desired. The Urnes Viking Clasp looks great with a variety of fantasy and historical costumes.
