Offering unrestricted wrist movement, the Steel Markward Short Gauntlets are each constructed with six pieces of 18 gauge polished steel. Highly versatile in their style, wear these gauntlets with almost any other suit of armour. They are adjusted via three sturdy leather buckled straps and are perfect for protecting the hand in light combat or for simply finishing the look of any historical reenactment outfit. Please be aware that this armour is handmade, and it can be thicker than listed here. As such, it is intended mainly for costuming, light reenactment, and LARP.

Materials:
- Made of 18 gauge polished steel
Care Instructions:
- This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil. These are pretty awesome! Fit nice with just a pair of cotton gloves. The straps are very think and should break down over time so it’ll be easier to work with. Came packed nicely in its oil to prevent rusting, though took me awhile to get it all off. Very happy.

Nice quality gauntlets for giving your hands protection while holding weapons. Your wrists and thumbs have plenty of flexibility without sacrificing protection. Unfortunately, I’ll have to use these as costume pieces because the LARP group I’m with doesn’t allow any rigid metal to cover your hands.

Pretty decent little things. They allow nearly unrestricted movement too. Only thing with em is that the rivets can dig into your hand if you don’t have thick enough gloves. Other than that, they’re pretty cool!

These look great and function well, allowing lots of range of motion. They even sound cool when moving you hands! Mine were a bit unmatched, in that one is a more flexible than the other due to differing tightness in the rivets between the pair. Also, the straps are not the same lengths an each one, so that they buckle on different holes and have mismatched lengths of strap protruding from the buckles. This isn’t a huge problem, but a little more quality control and consistency would have been nice and bumped these to five stars. By the way, I also got the silver pair and darkened them myself with gun bluing and they turned out really well! Get a pair – they’ll make you feel ready to enter combat!
