Simple yet effective armour for the thigh and knee, the Steel Markward Full Leg Guards offer excellent protection on the battlefield. The steel leg armour consists of eight pieces fitted together, a design which grants great flexibility. Perfect for LARPing, re-enactments, and the Renaissance fair, the leg protection boasts a bright metal finish that suits knights and warriors of all kinds. The plate armour is attached to the wearers waist using straps that can be adjusted to accommodate the leg length of the wearer. Care Instructions:
- This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil. I have tested this armor in battle and I can fully recommend it. I have tested other full leg armors and they cannot compare.
The best thing about this armor is how flexible it is. I can do full squats and charge into battle at full sprint. I didn’t even need padded chausses. They’re comfortable without them. The belts on the side of the legs keeps the armor in the best position. However, you’ll need a sturdy belt to hold them up. I’m 5’10” and this armor is the perfect length for my legs.
When coupled with the Markward greaves, I’m a charging tank. My opponents’ weapons bounce harmlessly off my armor because they can’t find a gap. Best leg armor for battle!
