Classic design and excellent functionality make the Steel Gustav Spaulders a fantastic addition to your warrior ensemble. Ideal for Renaissance fairs, LARP events, and re-enactments, the style of the medieval spaulders suits a wide range of characters. The shoulder armour is assembled from five interlocking components, lending a lot of freedom of movement to the wearer. The steel spaulders can attach to a collar with a leather strap. This plate armour shows off a bright metal gleam that goes great with other pieces of our Gustav-style armour. We recommend wearing padded arming wear with the metal spaulders to increase comfort. Please note that this item must be worn with a gorget.
Please be aware that this armour is handmade, and it can be thicker than listed here. As such, it is intended mainly for costuming, light reenactment, and LARP.
When purchasing armour pieces, in order for the pieces to be compatible, it is best to stay within the brand.

Care Instructions:
- This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil. I was so happy when I received these. They are amazing. The five pieces are separate and attached to thick leather straps. There is a strap underneath to attack to a collar. My collar already had the strap, but this one lays flat along the metal so it doesn’t get in the way. Came well packaged coated in oil to protect from any rust. very happy.

These ended up being my favorite part of the armor I got. They need a gorget to attach to, but once they’re attached they’re just wonderful. Because they are made of multiple pieces, it allows for a lot of movement and flexibility. I can’t raise my arms too far over my head, but that’s to be expected. They look awesome on, really brings the whole look together.

These Spaulders work Great! They are very nice and both this and the blackened version fit me very well. The only downside is that they don’t fit very well with the Gustav arm guards. However, they work well with other options. I use mine with the Balthasar cuirass, but they also work well with a gorget.

Pairs decently with the Steel Elias Cuirass, has some issues staying attached. Had no issues with attaching them to the Gustav Gorget though. Good quality.
