The perfect piece of steel plate armour for LARP warriors who want protection and excellent maneuverability, the Steel Elias Short Cuirass cuts off at the midriff, allowing full rotation of the torso when fighting. This short body armour looks great combined with a chainmail shirt, showing off a bright metal finish that suits medieval knight and champion character types. We recommend wearing a gambeson or other padded arming wear with this steel breastplate for increased comfort. This armour includes both front and back protection. A very good peice, and at an astounding price as well. A must have period, but only if yo have a broad chest.

Looks good, well made, fit well after minor adjustments. Just be warned that it is mild steel and needs to be oiled after use.

This breast/back plate is really neat in it’s construction, and very easy to put on. You may need help with the side buckles though. BE WARNED–This piece is quite small. I have a 44″ chest and I had to bend it to shape to ever be able to wear it. This would be good for short-waisted people or smaller sized persons. It looks really good with chain mail and a wide medieval style belt. All in all, for the price, a good piece.

Full disclosure: I’ve presently only worn this around the house, over a bathrobe, for short periods.
As a tall man, this successfully covers me to the midriff. As a skinny man, it pinches my back around the ribs a little more than I’d like when it is properly closed.
(And unless you’re very flexible, that will need some help to accomplish.)
Fair range of motion- can’t clap over my head in a jumping jack, but can get both arms straight up before I lock out.
Greasier than a Caesar salad out of the box, be sure to wipe it down.

I love this piece! Grab a friend to help put it one though, the side straps had me struggling. It really does work best for it’s something padded. I found that the part at the shoulders digs in a bit when I was just wearing a tunic and it made it uncomfortable. Some adjustments will need to be made to fit your torso. Looks wonderful on!

I really like this piece, it fits well and a gambeson makes it comfortable and fit better. It has good range of motion and I am impressed with the back plate. It is a dull color, but strong and not easy to damage. I think it’s a great product would recommend. You can put it straight over your head, but you may need help with the side straps.
