Traditionally crafted from thick hippopotamus or rhinoceros skin and used interchangeably as a riding crop, a cattle prod, or a protective weapon, the sjambok is a stiff, heavy leather whip that’s been used in Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia for generations. Our sjambok takes that tried-and-true design and improves on it by constructing it of thick polypropylene, giving it extra durability without losing any of the flexibility or impact of the original weapon. It’s also handy in a pinch — because it’s swung instead of cracked, this whip is exceedingly easy to learn how to use, making it great for those without much experience. With a soft synthetic Kraton handle molded to resemble braided leather making it easy to wield, this 54-inch-long weapon won’t shrink, crack, or mildew in even the most adverse of conditions.
