Move over, all you longswords and lances — we’ve got a knightly weapon ready to burst onto the scene. The silver morning star mace is here, and it’s got both the chivalric grace of a courtly love poem and the pure stopping power to dominate the battlefield, all rolled up into one wicked-looking package. This all-steel spiked morning star is all business, with a weighted head attached bristling with nearly two dozen spikes for deadly attacks. The attached ball adorned with spikes is removable–giving our morning stars an alternative look that other weaponry like flails don’t possess.
Featuring a leather-wrapped handle and a length of just over 33 inches, this one-handed weapon would have been a terror on the battlefield as it crushed bones and pierced armor. The wooden shaft was often iron-shod wooden bars designed to deliver powerful hits. Whether in the hands of knights, professional soldiers or ordinary infantry, this weapon wreaked havoc when used in close combat. Yet its polished stainless steel construction makes it gleam when hung at the side of any valiant knight ready to lay down their life in the defence and service of their lord, proving once and for all that you don’t need a “knightly-looking” medieval weapon like the flail, flanged mace, or the sword to be a knight.
Incorporating medieval flair, our spiked morning stars showcase an asymmetrical pattern that makes it deadly and stylish. With its ball and heavy striking head attached to its base, this medieval armament can deliver powerful blows with blunt force.

I once saw this exact mace at a festival but they wanted twice as much as what medieval collectibles has it for. The spikes were a little loose when it arrived but they can be hand tightened. Great quality overall and not to heavy either.

Definitely worth the price. I was happy to find that, while not being too heavy, the head does have a bit more weight to it than I expected. While it’s not perfect, (The spikes had to be tightened, and the handle wrap had to be super-glued down) I would certainly buy it again!
