How to Find Your Draw Length and Draw Weight:
- To find your draw length, take your height in inches and divide by 2.5. If need be, round down to the next draw length. For example, someone who is 5 Feet 4 Inches tall will have a draw length of 25 after rounding down.
- The Draw Weight of a bow is measured in pounds and corresponds to the amount of force required to pull back the bow string. It is best to pick a draw weight that you can handle. All of the bows have a draw length of 28 inches. To match your draw weight to its equivalent in the 28 inch draw length, use the chart above. Find your draw length and weight and slide over along the row to the corresponding draw weight range under the 28 header. For example if you use a bow that is 47-52 pounds at 24 inches, you will use the bow of 55-60 pounds at a 28 inch draw.
Care Instructions:
- Do not store the bow with the bow strung. This can weaken the bow over time. The bow is best kept unstrung when not in use.
Measurements:
- Overall Length: 72 Inches
- Draw Length: 28 Inches
Measurements are approximate.

I have zero experience with the English Longbow, in any model, or form. However, I am a longtime participant and fan of archery. I have only used American fiberglass and composite bows in the past. Immediately upon removing this Siege Longbow from the box, the wooden bow felt excellent in my hands as if it belonged there. Somehow familiar, or ‘expected’. The finely sanded wood surface is a pleasure to run one’s fingers over. The handgrip, in the belly of the bow, is perfectly sized and proportioned for my average-sized man’s hand. I purchased this bow at a 35–40-pound draw; as I am 60 years old, and out of shape. Hopefully, I will work up to a more powerful draw at some point and then purchase that draw in Medieval Collectable’s Traditional Medieval Longbow, next. Just as an aside, I have been searching for a longbow (without paying the over $1,000 price of a newly crafted English-made Yew Longbow), and there exists either cheap Chinese take-down longbows, made of glass and bamboo laminates, or a few bowyers doing decent independent builds which can be very costly too. Grayvn Traditional Archers makes very nice bows of solid sapwood hickory, and made to good standards, and for a really decent price. This siege bow is very solid, blonde solid sapwood hickory, very eye-pleasing. This bow also measures out at 71-inches tall. Almost all other longbows I found (with the exception of the premium-quality English made Yew Longbows), measured no more than 68-inches. There was all manner of Longbows at 58, 65, and 67 inches. This may seem “nitpicky”, but I wanted authenticity. And though I am certain bows used by the English Archers in the 14th and 15th centuries likely measured in at various lengths; I still wanted one over 70 inches. It is called a bloody “Longbow”, innit? At 71-inches for this bow, I am very pleased with it. It would seem that somehow aesthetically, the longer length of the bow makes it very elegant, (for a deadly weapon). There is a gracefulness to the longbow that I dearly love. All things thus considered; I give this purchase a resounding and hearty 5-stars. A fine bow, by any standards.

Hey you guys! Please disregard the first review submission; as I stated the wrong wood (twice), referring to this bow’s construction. There was also a typo or two in the first review submission, which I have corrected (along with the correct wood of construction) in the second review submission. Sorry.
