The Vikings used axes of varying sizes. The Short Norse Throwing Axe is ideal for both close combat and throwing where larger axes are not necessary or desired. The carbon steel axe head features a slightly bearded blade with a rough forged appearance and a single socket. The socket securely attaches the head to the sagwan wood haft. This axe is ideal for reenactments or as part of a weaponry collection.

The handle broke very quickly but there is nothing wrong with the steel so I will be attaching a new handle and I will be throwing this again soon! Good project axe I would buy for the axe head alone! Also you will have to sharpen it
