Bought two of these (one brown, one cream) for my first LARP, and was very pleased with what I got! Planning on buying a green one in the future!

Excellent shirt. The canvas material is quite sturdy and a substantially heavy duty. Very happy with this item.

  3. skulhedman (verified owner)

Rich maroon color and hard-wearing yet comfortable material. While my wife generally ranges from complete disinterest to scoffing at my costume items, she actually liked the way this looked on me – BONUS!

  4. Remi Lafortune (verified owner)

Excellent quality. Nice thick and textured cotton shirt. It was bigger than expected, so if you are between sizes i would recommend going down a size not up.

I like this shirt a lot. Picked up a black one, now I need to grab a few colors. Great stuff for the price and a great canvas for embellishing.

Great shirt that works with a variety of different outfits

Well made, it isn’t cheap fabric likely to tear, it has a good heft. I got a size larger than usual so I can wear warmer stuff under it, size is as expected.

I’m very happy with this garment. I like the look, the firm canvas fabric, and the quality workmanship. However, the sizing of the garments are still a mystery to me in general, not just on this item, even after well-meaning attempts by customer service to explain it to me. I understand that different garments have different size measurements. I also understand that, unlike all other places I know (which may not mean very much because I am not a big shopper), Medieval Collectables gives actual garment measurements. I am used to size guides that correlate sizes (i.e., S, M, L, etc.) to actual body measurements. Be this as it may, the shoulder, sleeve, and length measurements on the on the size XL that I bought are reasonably close to the values in the size chart. However, the chest measures 52” and the waist measures 52”. That’s between 7” to almost 11” larger than the size chart states. The good thing is that I figured that the sizes in the chart must be wrong because they just do not mesh with the pictures of the garment. Long story short, I am 6’2″ and weigh 205 lbs and the Rurik Canvas fits great.

This shirt seems very authentic in cut and material. It can get a little hot, but that’s what it’s for! I’m 5’10”, athletic, and muscular. A Large hugs my chest fairly tightly, but fits nicely otherwise.
