Inspired by historical Nordic armour patterns, the Ragnar Greaves possess a distinctive look that is sure to stand out on the battlefield. These steel greaves are crafted from seven metal strips riveted onto two leather straps. The metal bracers are fastened with wrought iron buckles. The ankle ends of these LARP greaves have been curved outwards to ensure that your feet can freely move as you fight. The metal strips feature an antiqued finish that completes the unique look of the steel armour. The historical greaves design has the advantage of being lighter and more flexible than plate armour. The finish is excellent, as is the comfortability. I wear these to ren fairs all the time and have no doubt I’d be comfortable wearing them at LARP events! Overall, I cannot recommend this product enough. If you’re looking to add splint armor to your LARP or medieval costume kit, these are perfect for you

I shopped several suppliers/manufacturers of splint greaves & bracers, high end to budget, Without trying all the different choices on and inspecting each individual pair from the many suppliers, I believe for the money, these were the best choice. The Steel is distressed with a soiled finish, it’s beautiful. There are twice as many rivets securing the leather straps to the steel as other similar products…which looks Fantastic! The wrought iron buckles are an outstanding detail. The only “perceived” issue I can relate to you is, with the amount of rivets in them, the leather straps seem to need more width…. the oil plays against the strength of the leather and combined with the weight and double the holes for the rivets, this could lead to a strap failing. This is speculation on my part as I haven’t received a direct blow to them yet. I 100% recommended these splint bracers & greaves over others that cost twice, three times as much. Furthermore, combined with correct padding, this splint armor is hard and thick…no joke, for real protection.
