Our Priestess Dress is truly a universal piece. With a little imagination you can create so many different looks with just this one garment. Lets start with the basics of the dress. There is a front panel that goes down the front of the dress and slightly flares out towards the bottom of the dress. This helps create a small waistline and overall, is appealing to the eye. The sides of the dress have laces on them, you can lace it loosely or cinch it in for a fitted look. Be creative with the lacing, for example you can lace each side up by them self, pull the laces all the way to tie in the back, or wrap the laces all the way around the front to create a belted look. Now on to the sleeves. They also have lacing options. There is an open slit from the top of the arm all the way down. You can fully lace the sleeves, partially lace the sleeves, or roll the sleeves up and secure them with the lace. When you start to pair this dress with other items, like a cloak, belts, over coats, etc., that is when you start to create your own unique style.

I have gotten so many compliments while wearing this dress to rituals (neo-pagan here) including from those in the community who design historical and functional dress in their free time. It’s wonderfully made, feels high quality, and is very comfortable. The material was slightly thicker than I expected, but it seems more durable that way. I only rated my purchasing experience as 4 stars because of some unexpected border duty. The site on a whole and the product I was given gets 5 stars across the board.

The Priestess Dress is very comfortable and well constructed with quality fabric, for daily wear. I ordered it in white, so that if desired it could be used as an underdress as well, with its adjustability via the ribboned sleeves and sides, it can be worn in many different ways. The material is slightly heavier, perhaps of a medium weight, but the ribboned sleeves can be adjusted if it gets too hot, allowing for cooling air. It is very comfortable, and made of a great quality!

I got the off white in a size small. I’m 5’3 and roughly 105lbs. It fits amazing and I was blown away by the quality. It’s a nice thick material that isn’t scratchy and I can tell will hold up over time. I can’t recommend this dress enough!

I haven’t yet worn this dress to an event, so I can’t speak for how it functions but I am pretty pleased with it so far. The fabric is not a lightweight cotton and would probably work best for a cooler weathered day but it feels quite sturdy, definitely not the cheap costume quality of Amazon or Halloween stores. For reference I am 5’8″ and a pear shaped 175-180 lbs. The Large I initially ordered was too snug across my shoulders and upper arm area so I exchanged it for an XL, which fit much better and was roomy enough. (I hate when things are too tight on my arms.) I like that the sides cinch in and can be adjusted. The strings at the torso are a little too short for me, I would have liked them to have been longer in length, but that is something that could actually be swapped out. I haven’t unlaced the sleeves but like the versatility with that as well, as I believe unlacing them might make wearing this a bit cooler on a hot day. The overall cut of the dress is quite flattering, plus it goes well with a corset belt and an apron dress that I own, thereby increasing the options I have to wear it. I purchased the green and it is a muted olive green. This dress is lovely worn on its own, but could also be worn under an apron dress or surcoat for more of a viking or medieval look. So far I am happy with it. I do wish the black version was not more expensive or I would consider buying that one as well.
