You head forth on your grand quest. You wear the Osberg Viking Boots to cover your feet for the long journey ahead of you. Made from leather, this pair of boots comes in a range of sizes. Based on boots found at an archaeological site, the brown boots end above the ankle. They lace up in front and tie on one side of the ankle. This creates an asymmetrical design with the boot cuffs. On the bottom, the boots have nailed leather soles. The soles also display the boot size. These Viking boots are wonderful for reenacting, roleplaying, and cosplay use. Wear the Osberg Viking Boots with your Norse outfit.

First, to preface, I thought these were the Grimfrost Oseburg boots but theyre made by Marshal Historical. That was on me.
The sizing/fit is spot on. Id recommend going half or 1 size up at most to fit insoles and wool socks or 2x socks bc you’ll need it. It’s very barebones, not costume-y, but expect to get insoles if you plans to go anywhere and hire a cobbler and apply actual rubber soles if you’re larping bc its super slippery youll get hurt.
My biggest grippe is the lacing. I get it, the real osburg boots its hard to tell how its exactly tied by the hole placement on this is dog **** i spent an hour trying to lace it without leaving giant gaps and to not feel loose. In the end i looked up Grimfrosts and punched my own holes to lace it where itll stay attached to my feet instead of feeling wobbly. The laces arent very long either has to get longer ones. Also I cut a cross in the back ankle to flex toes down otherwise the leather bunches up and you cant tip your toes down.
Summary: Fits accurate, good leather quality. Like other items from Marshal Historical expect to do some DIY if you want it to be as good as the high end equivalent (Insoles, rubber soles, re-punch lace holes, longer laces).
