The Olbrecht German Sword with Scabbard and Belt is a war sword worthy of any soldier or mercenary on the battlefield. Made from high-carbon steel, this functional longsword has an Oakeshott XX Type, a style common of 16th century German longswords. Its name means Noble or Bright.
This two-handed sword has a long, tapered, double-edged blade with two fullers running down its length. These double fullers lighten the blade and add strength, which is ideal for the long, broad blade. The Darksword logo adorns the blade at its base. Next, the medieval sword continues with a cruciform crossguard. The ends of the guard gently curve towards the blade. The guard is thickest in the center.
Then, the hilt has a two-handed grip. Red leather covers wire on the grip. The grip tapers inwards towards the second half near the pommel. There is a ridge in the center of the grip. The hilt ends with a hexagonal scent stopper-shaped pommel.
Finally, this sword comes with a wooden scabbard and an integrated sword belt. Brown leather covers the scabbard. It has a steel chape as well as ridges running down its length. This sword is ideal for the reenactor looking for a classic yet unique sword to wield in combat.
