Norwegian Viking Sword

Made from C60 high-carbon steel, this functional sword has a Type M design, according to Petersen typology. It was one of the most widespread types in eastern Norway, from the mid-9th to the early 10th century. It has a double-edged blade. A wide fuller runs down the center of the blade. The Viking sword continues with a flat crossguard. Then, the hilt has a wooden grip. Finally, this Nordic sword comes with a wooden scabbard. Brown leather covers the scabbard. It has a black leather chape and throat. Near the throat, a pair of leather straps wrap around a wooden slide secured onto the scabbard. This slide allows the scabbard, and therefore the sword, to hang from a ring belt or buckle belt.
