The Medieval Game Hunting Spearhead harkens back to a primeval world where warriors and nobles hunted wild boars with spears like this one. Made from EN45 high carbon steel, this functional spearhead has a polished finish. It features a leaf-shaped blade and a long socket. On the socket, there are two short wings with rectangular tips. Historically, this blade and socket design was useful for hunting wild boars. The wings prevented the blade from sinking too far into the animal and thus kept the wielder farther from the animal while the blade shape would inflict a deep and wide wound. At the bottom of the socket, there are two holes. The holes are directly opposite each other. They allow the spearhead to be securely attached to a haft, not included. This long spearhead is a great item for DIY projects, reenactments, or displays. It is also a wonderful collectible piece.
