Medieval Black Cross Shield

While approaching the enemy, you raise the Medieval Black Cross Shield to defend yourself with anticipation of an attack. This medieval shield features a layered wooden construction. 16 thin layers of wood form the shield for additional durability and reduced weight. The heater-style shield has a convex-curved top edge. Its sides curve inward to form a point at the bottom. Heavy cotton covers the front of the shield. This silver shield features a black cross in the center. The cross has concave curves near the ends. It reaches each side of the shield. Also, the shield has a battle-worn look with faux scrapes and cracks.

On the back, rivets adorn the edges of the Crusader shield. The back also has a closed-cell foam backing covered in full-grain leather. The black leather matches the adjustable strap for securing the shield onto an arm. There is also a wooden grip for grasping the shield. You can take this functional shield onto the battlefield at a historical reenactment. It also makes a great cosplay accessory as well.
