The Lowlander Antiqued Sword takes its historical design from swords wielded by Scottish mercenaries in the 16th century. Made from 1566 high-carbon steel, this functional Gaelic sword features a double-edged blade with an antiqued finish. It has a short fuller near the ricasso.
Next, the sword continues with a wide crossguard. It has long quillons that curve at the ends towards the blade. In the center, the crossguard also has a ring on each side. There is a bar with a quatrefoil in the middle of each ring.
Then, the hilt has a wrapped grip. Black leather covers the grip. Also, strips of leather form a diamond pattern on the grip. The hilt ends with a ball-shaped pommel.
Finally, this sword comes with a wall mount to display and store it. This sword is worthy of any Gaelic warrior fighting on a battlefield. Take it to your next reenactment.
Please note that this comes disassembled. You will need to unscrew the pommel and remove the grip to slide the crossguard onto the sword. Then, replace the grip and pommel to complete assembly.
