Experienced warriors know the value of good armour padding, which can mean the difference between comfort and chafing or pinching. The Leopold Padded Bracers will keep your forearms in good shape while you trounce the enemy. The arm protection is stitched in a linear pattern that helps to keep the padding in place while you move. The padded bracers are fastened on the back side with a string that laces through metal eyelets. These padded forearms are a critical piece of your gear when wearing steel bracers, so be sure to plan ahead before your next battle. The Leopold padding comes in black or brown color options.

These bracers work very well, and look good, even without arm armor over them. Look great with a Viking kit. Laces could better. Well built for the price. Get two pair…black and brown to go with your style. ….Mark M.

Effective and menacing when combined with the rest of the Leopold set. I recommend tying each end of the drawstring in a simple knot upon delivery to allow it enough room to open and slide over your arm without having to redo the lacing each time (and to limit fraying). That is, assuming your arms aren’t so skeletal you never have to undo the shoelace knot It comes in like mine are. It is quite warm, so if you can wear light modern active wear or minimal classic clothing beneath it, do so. These completely encircle my forearms and do not significantly impact freedom of movement.

    Snug and comfortable

  4. ben.lurker (verified owner)

Work good, as stated in some of the others reviews the places could be a little better but for the money these are a great buy.

  5. nils.olson (verified owner)

I wear these under a set of leather bracers I have. They provide a great deal of padding without adding excessive heat stress.

  6. Ellen Moore (verified owner)

Great on their own or to go under other bracers. They really help give an outfit a more complete look.

  7. Linda Martinez (verified owner)

These padded bracers make wearing other metal armor more comfortable. Sturdy material and are well made, but they are better suited for cooler outdoor temperatures.

  8. skulhedman (verified owner)

Adds some nice bulk and padding to your forearms, though the length at the hand end makes it a bit awkward to use with gauntlets. Still, nicely constructed and could be used by itself without armor.

This is my second pair of these, this time in black. In my previous review, I mentioned that the way they extend onto the back of your hand a bit makes wearing gauntlets a bit difficult, but I found if you use ones with wide, bell-shaped “cuffs”, it works out just fine! Keep in mind, these are long (the greaves are too). I am pretty tall with long arms and legs, and these covered from over my wrist almost to my elbow, so they showed substantially at the ends of my bracers (not a problem at all, just wanted you to know). Great product, thick padding.
