You, brave knight, make sure to guard the local area with your prowess and skill in battle. To protect yourself, you wear the Knight Errant Cuirass. As this cuirass is polyurethane, it is lightweight and comfortable to wear. Lighter than fully leather or steel pieces, this torso armour is great for warm weather. The cuirass includes a front chest piece and a backplate. The two-piece armour secures onto your chest with leather straps at the shoulders and sides. In addition, the cuirass comes in a single size. Next, this cuirass is silver in color. The torso has round cutouts for each arm, allowing for better movement during battle. Furthermore, there is a central ridge down the middle of the chest plate. It ends at the fauld. The fauld flairs outward for greater mobility. The Knight Errant Cuirass works with a variety of medieval and fantasy characters.

I’ll start by saying that this isn’t perfect or perfectly realistic, but for what it is, and for the price, it’s great. I wore it to the Ren Faire and it held up well. I had a few people ask me if it was real metal or not. It fit fairly comfortably and didn’t put much stress on the shoulders. Where the shoulder of the breastplate overlaps the one from the back plate, there is a bit of rubbing, and the paint scratched off, but since this is on the underlayer, you can’t see it when it’s worn. The straps are real leather and are pretty thick. They seem like they’ll hold up well. I was worried about the look of the overlapping plates, but it was hard to notice when I had everything on. There is a little rust on the inside rivets, probably from where I sweat on it. Doesn’t look like it’ll be a problem, though. I am also able to leave three of the four straps fastened and put the armor on over my head without undoing everything each time. It’s a little tricky, but one can put it on by themselves. It’s not without flaws, but for the cost savings and ease of care over metal armor, it’s a real deal. I’d recommend this one for sure. Oh, and it arrived a day early, so great shipping on Medieval Collectables’ part. Thanks!

It looks decent, fits well is very light and is decently priced for what you get but after just a years worth of LARP the paint has started to come off in alot of places.

I have two polyurthane armor sets and the other one has held up much better with no paint peeling that I’ve noticed.
