Participate in a celebratory feast within the walls of a castle, or enjoy a nice repast next to a warm, crackling campfire. The Jackob Steel Cutlery Set includes the basic eating utensils necessary for dining in a historical setting. This medieval flatware set features a two-prong fork, spoon, and feasting knife. Each stainless steel piece possesses a hammered and blackened wrought iron finish, excluding the belly of the knife. The upper portion of the fork and handle is twisted, while a little hole on each end of all three pieces makes it easy to tie them together.

I am very pleased with this set. Very authentic looking and very sturdy. They look exactly as they are pictured. The knife has a nice, sharp edge. The business end of the spoon is a decent size to pick up a mouthful of food or for stirring. The spoon is also the longest–and the heaviest–piece of the set. It measures 7-3/8 inches long. The knife is 7-1/8 inches long at its longest points. And, the fork is just over 6-5/8 inches long. The knife handle had some rough edges on it that were kind of sharp on the skin & could snag a dish rag while washing. But, I filed them down to where it was smooth enough to handle them again. They came covered in oil & sealed in two bags to keep them protected and, I suppose, to prevent the oil from leaking out of the first bag in case of a hole. I was a little perplexed by this, but MC Customer Service assured me that this was normal to protect the items from any rust potential & to wash them up good with warm water, Dawn dishwashing soap, & to dry them thoroughly. They do not come with a leather pouch, but that is easy to find, if you need one. A wise & practical purchase that should last years & years for the Ren Fest or for home use.
