Just because the stiletto is among the smallest of daggers does not mean that it is among the weakest. In fact, in its area of expertise, a small blade like this Italian Stiletto is essentially without equal, as not much can match its penetrative power.
Patterned after an Italian design, this impressive little dagger has a triangular cross-sectioned blade that is perfectly rigid, making it an excellent choice for thrusting attacks.
Historically, stilettos were used for piercing armor and assassinating targets, thanks to their lightweight and easy-to-conceal form. They were extremely deadly when used up close. A stiletto could also be considered a misericorde, or mercy blade, which was used to kill a knight whose wounds were fatal, but not immediately so.
The fully functional blade is dual hardened and forged from 1095 high carbon steel. Meanwhile, the ridged hilt is mild steel, threaded onto the blade. This design holds the short crossguard in place.
With its sharp, narrow point, it is easy to see how a weapon like this Italian Stiletto could penetrate mail and slip between armored plates, and in the hands of an expert, you can expect this dagger to do just that with frightening ease.
Please be aware that this dagger is hand-forged, and as such, its finish and its overall measurements can vary slightly from what is shown here. Also, be aware that this dagger is made to be practical, tough, and hardy, and its finish, being hammered and hand-forged, can sometimes feature marks from the forging process.

Hand made, has personality. Not some cookie cutter made stiletto. You can feel the history of it’s purpose when you hold it in your hand. Beautifully crafted, and finished. This is a real joy to add to my collection of edged weapons. Get yours today, if it’s backordered like mine was it will be worth the wait. Very pleased with this purchase. Phil R

Very nice, well made. The blade is triangular in cross section, I had expected a diamond cross section, but that’s just my expectation. Very solid. I am pleased with it.

Extremely pointy definitely can see why it was banned in Europe for a while
