Wearing the Red Hildegard Viking Overdress, you can walk in the forest or in the village with some truly classic Viking style. Made from 100% cotton, this deep red Norse overdress comes in three sizes. It secures with multiple ties on the sides of the dress. The sleeveless overdress features the typical square neckline common to apron dresses. Also, the Viking dress ends at the shins.
This Nordic dress is ideal for layering. Wear it over the top of another Viking dress or chemise, and you can throw a belt over the top of it like the Black Elina Viking Belt (LC-8468S). Wear this Viking apron dress to your next Viking reenactment, Ren faire, or LARP event.

I was looking for an apron dress with adjustable ties or laces on the sides that didn’t come up too high at the neckline due to sensory issues I have with necklines. This fit the bill perfectly and is really nice quality. It is a really lovely shade of burgundy red and I like that it’s adjustable on the sides to accommodate fluctuating body sizes. I originally ordered this in a L/XL but found it too big in width even at it’s tightest closure so I exchanged it for a S/M. At 5’8″ and about 175-180 lbs I am never a S/M in anything but the smaller size fit much better for my body frame with plenty of room to let it out if needed. I am fairly small busted so those who are more ample in that department (C cup or larger) might need to go for the larger size. As for length, this hits about mid calf on me but worn over an underdress it’s perfect. The weight of the fabric is more of a medium weight cotton canvas, so definitely sturdy but maybe not the coolest for a summer faire. I’m looking forward to wearing it.
