This hood changed my attitude towards using suede with my Ren Faire outfits. Constructed with excellent craftsmanship & quality suede leather, this item really adds a nice layer to my look. It seemed a little tight across my shoulders, but I think that may have more to do with the design of the garment rather than the size of it. It was described as “Light Brown”, but the color of the one I received is really a Medium or dark Brown when compared to the photos of other Mytholon suede garments, like the Bowen Suede Jerkin or the Orthello Suede Vest. It is a beautifully rich color. I really like it. The suede is a nice weight, very pliable, & should stop any cold wind in its tracks. It drapes over the front & back of the shoulders nicely. The hood is very deep & large enough to cover your whole head & face, if you choose. A word of caution to those with long hair, though. If your hair works its way, or gets pinched, in between the folds of the suede, be careful when you move your head around with the hood on. The suede will hold on to it & you may lose a few strands. I recommend a coif or an arming cap while wearing this hood. People who are bald should have no problem. I can’t wait for the next cold weather Festival to try this beauty out. I will most likely get the black one, too.
