Noble warrior, as you fight for the French crown, do not forget to take the French Aristocrat Shield with you into combat. This medieval shield features a layered wooden construction. 16 thin layers of wood form the shield for additional durability and reduced weight. The heater-style shield has a convex-curved top edge. Its sides curve inward to form a point at the bottom. Heavy cotton covers the front of the shield. This shield features a vertically split design. The left half of the shield features multiple large fleurs-de-lis against a blue background. Each fleur-de-lis is golden. Meanwhile, the right side of the shield has vertical red and gold stripes. Also, the shield has a battle-worn look with faux scrapes and cracks.
On the back, rivets adorn the edges of the shield. The back also has a closed-cell foam backing covered in full-grain leather. The black leather matches the adjustable strap for securing the shield onto an arm. There is also a wooden grip for grasping the shield. You can take this functional shield onto the battlefield at a historical reenactment. It also makes a great cosplay accessory as well.
