Originally wielded by the Franks, the Francisca Axe features a design worthy of being wielded by any Norse fighter or Viking warrior. Made from high-carbon steel, this functional Viking axe features a backswept wooden haft. It has rounded sides. At the top of the haft, there is a single-bladed axe head. It has a fan-shaped blade with an upswept tip and a downturned edge. Overall, the axe head has an antiqued finish. Historically, the Vikings used this style of axe for throwing and close-quarters combat. It was capable of penetrating chainmail. Finally, this axe comes with a sheath. This Viking axe is great for historical reenactments and battles.
