I waited for this shield to be back in stock. This is not a “second Quality” shield it is exactly as descripted . I like this shield. It completes my Viking garb. I gave it 4 stars because the central handle causes the edge to rub on the back of my hand. I will change it out for a handle that is a little higher.

Don’t understand the “2nd quality” part of the description – this thing is pristine, and awesome! It is a substantial piece (weighty) and would require some working with to avoid tiring out off-arm. Didn’t appreciate that the boss is functional, edge rubbing mentioned in other review is a function of the tight angle – glove might help but would also constrict further so agree a swap put might be needed. Very, very pleased with this purchase.
