As the enemy approaches, you ready yourself for the battle ahead. The Early 15th Century Pauldrons protect your shoulders from attack. Made from 12 gauge mild steel, these pauldrons come as a pair. Each rectangular pauldron secures onto the upper arm with a strap. Also, each pauldron is a single plate with rolled edges at the bottom. A curved groove adorns one side of the pauldrons. They sit on the side of the pauldron closest to the chest. Historically, those grooves helped to keep the pauldrons from catching on clothing or other pieces of armour. At the top of these pauldrons, there is a pair of holes. Laces tie these holes to a leather tongue. The piece of leather has multiple holes for attaching to other pieces of armour, not included. Wear the Early 15th Century Pauldrons to your next historical reenactment. They look great on a variety of characters.
Please note that steel thickness may vary slightly due to the handcrafted methods used in the manufacture of this item.
