DIY RFB Large Shield

The Ready For Battle line of LARP swords and shields is known for its quality, which makes items like the DIY RFB Large Shield so attractive. It combines the quality of the RFB line of LARP equipment with the personalization of DIY. If you have always wanted a shield with a certain pattern or image on it, but you could not find anything similar to it in stores, a blank shield template like this is what you want! This uncoated large shield template possesses the appearance of a riveted band around the edge of the shield, but other than that it is completely blank, allowing you to decorate it however you want! Once properly painted, we recommend applying a latex sealer to the shield. Latex shields do need to be maintained to a certain degree. We offer a 100 ml LARP Protection Gel Silicone (MCI-3722) that can be purchased separately in the LARP Accessories section. We recommend that you use this silicone on a regular basis. It will keep the coating flexible, which will make the shield last much longer. The maintenance silicone also protects to the coating from drying out, and helps the shield resist general wear and tear from normal use.
