Cannonfire woke the lad from his slumber. Stopping only to grab the D-Guard Pirate Sword that hung near the door, the cabin boy felt a shudder as the foremast fell into the water. He turned to face the boarding party, sword in hand. The stainless steel blade is straight with a long fuller near the spine. This single edge sword features a wood handle housed within a D-guard hilt, a style that affords more protection than a traditional crossguard. A single finial extends from the quillon, used to trap an opponents blade. This sword has been made with some scarring and imperfections, to give it a battle-seasoned look, however, this steel sword is purely decorative. A fitted leather sheath protects the blade during transport and storage. Sliding the D-Guard Pirate Sword into your baldric will add some swashbuckling swagger to your ensemble at the next Pirate Festival or Renaissance Faire.

Unfortunately, the D-Guard was not available but the customer service section immediately informed me of the situation. Customer service worked with me on completing my order.

Great intro sword if you are a swashbuckler, or cosplay a damage dealing persona. Sheath is good quality and can be used in a sword frog quite easily. Handle is wooden and sturdy, and bolt of the hilt is secured nicely. The blade itself will have to be dulled down to be used in Ren Faires, because it comes sharpened (which is not a bad thing). All in all, great purchase for the asking price!
