The leaf shaped blade was quite popular throughout the ancient world. Our Hoplite Sword features a steel guard and pommel with a wooden grip covered with leather. The 1065 high carbon steel blade makes this sword ideal for re-enactments as well as collecting. Included is a wood scabbard covered with leather and decorated with metal studs. It is among the finest of the ancient worlds weapons.

Its not bad, the edge rolled a little bit when I hit a metal bar attached to a weight full force. I hit a tree and it cut pretty decently. It absorbed the shock and vibrations really well. It feels decent, im surprised by how light the blade is. Its definitely usable, better than the last blade I purchased. I was expecting a little more but it will kill.
