When I got it a lot of broken rings fell onto my floor. Some rings were breaking and getting caught on others. I’ve worn it 4 times, it is now tangled, probably be to how I handled it. Was fun to wear, it’s going to add weight of course haha. Kept me warm I’ll say though. Almost 3 stars but I’ll give it 4 because this was probably the least of the issues I had with my order.

The picture doesn’t do this item justice. This thing is a very shiny silver color. Thankfully covered in just enough oil to keep it from rusting during storage but not enough to be excessive when you receive it. The butted rings hold on well for costuming but there is some sharp ends. Would recommend light covering to keep it comfortable. I would call ahead for sizing. The chest size really makes or breaks the fit and on both chainmails I’ve tried it was wildly over estimated. I am 5’9″ with chest size of 41-42″ The large fit me the best and came out to an actual chest size of about 46″ vs the description of “up to 54.” It will run to just above my kneecap and the sleeves end just above my wrists with only a little bit of slack. It will fit me fine with or without additional padding.

I am 6′, 150lbs, and with my gambeson, a medium fits very nicely. As a previous review mentioned, the pictures don’t show how nice and shiny this hauberk really is. It looks really good! This size comes down to about mid-thigh on me. With mail gauntlets, my entire arm is effectively covered.
