In the bygone era, hunting was a common way to provide for your family. This Broad German Hunting Dagger is a recreation of an appealingly detailed hunting dagger that not only boasts a handsome design, but also a rather effective look and design, too. The dagger possesses a moderately broad high-carbon steel blade that is hand forged, featuring a short ricasso near the hilt and a straight-edged blade that ends with a fine, yet wide point. The daggers hilt is elegantly ornate, possessing a clamshell style guard in cast-brass metal, while also featuring short little finial quillons that extend out along the edge. The grip is made from simulated brown antler and is capped with a matched brass pommel topper. Included with the dagger is a fine scabbard, made from wood, wrapped in black leather, and fitted with brass furnishings at the throat and chape. The thicker blade makes this dagger hardier and robust in design, while the little touches of detail ensure that this Broad German Hunting Dagger is more than just a belt dagger. It is also a fine collectible, too.
