Your shoulders work hard when you fight against an enemy in battle. Protect them from whatever comes your way with the Blackened Ortwin Spaulders. Made from 18 gauge steel, these spaulders have a blackened finish. They come as a pair. Each spaulder has a strap at the bottom for securing to the arm. The top of the spaulder has an additional strap and loop for attaching to the cuirass (MY101086) as well as the arm guards (MY101083), each sold separately.
Next, the spaulders have an overlapping design. The top section is round and wide with curved sides. The bottom of this section has an inverted scalloped edge. Next, the second section from the top continues the curved sides into a rounded point. The third section has a similar look with slightly straighter edges. Finally, the bottom section, the one farthest down the arm, flares outwards on the sides towards the bottom. It also has an inverted scalloped edge on the bottom. Riveting secures all of these sections to two internal leather straps. This allows for greater mobility. These Blackened Ortwin Spaulders are wonderful for medieval outfits and Renaissance costumes. Wear them to a LARP event or cosplay convention.
