The quality and material of the hood I received was quite excellent! It’s very much real suede leather, thick but not excessively so. The stitching of the hood also seems quite excellent and the slits cut into the mantle definitely increase mobility while wearing it.
Unfortunately, the hood itself is absolutely massive on me. My head is not unusually small but it still feels very “floppy” and I’m probably going to get it reduced a bit at some point. At the moment I’m making it work by just tucking the excess hood material under the mantle, but this makes a bit of a “collar” effect which detracts from the overall visual effect of an otherwise excellent piece.
