Are you looking for a functional tanto with elegant style? If so, make sure that you check out the Baika Tanto by Dragon King. Made from stainless steel, this functional knife features a straight-backed blade. Designed by Frenchie Jin, it has a san mai construction that consists of a hard steel core forged welded in between two pieces of soft steel. A fuller runs down half the length of the blade. The blade has a brass habaki or blade collar.
The tanto continues with a black tsuba. Golden plum blossoms adorn the tsuba. The hilt has a same, or ray skin covered grip. A golden oriole menuki adorns the grip. Finally, this knife comes with a copper-colored scabbard, also called a Saya. The Saya has a brown and gold-colored cord wrapping called a sageo. This knifes rich coloring makes it match wonderfully with the Tatsu-Maki Katana (SD35120), sold separately. Take this tanto with you to your next Japanese weapon practice or add the Baika Tanto to your collection.
