The medieval collar increases comfort by preventing chafing and pinching as you move during battle. Especially when your re-enactment gear includes pieces like a gorget or spaulders, this neck and shoulder protection is the perfect solution. The padded collar is back-stitched in a diamond pattern that keeps the padding in place. Available in black or brown color options, the padded mantle fastens in the front of the design with the help of a buckled strap.

Actual neck part is a bit tall, but fixed pretty easily. For reference, my neck is about 4.5in long. It is very stiff and will need time to loosen up, probably don’t want to order and immediately wear to an event. Very comfortable otherwise, buckle is sturdy.

Excellent alternative to a full gambeson especially for costuming. Provides coverage on the neck and shoulders. No problems when used with shoulder armor, gorgets, or chainmail and protects against cloak choke.

Nice, thick padding and authentic-looking fabric. As a lady, it is a bit big on me, but nothing too uncomfortable or unwearable. It covers my neck and shoulders where it needs to, and I’m happy to have the extra protection under my armor or on its own for light sparring.

Its really comfortable to wear. Its a little tight around the neck, but I can adjust it to fit better. This is really going to make my mail armor more comfortable to wear.
