I bought these to go with the Albrecht Greaves and they look really awesome as a set. I especially like the way the leather fits over the hand slightly.

I ordered the Albrecht cuirass, pauldrons, and bracers as a set and I feel that of the three, the bracers are the weakest link. They look fine but there were a few design choices that didn’t work well for me.
– The bracers attach via two straps, one below the elbow and one above the wrist. I have a fairly large upper forearm which made the bracers want to slide down, no matter how much I tightened the wrist strap. Even with a wrap, it was frequent enough to get a bit annoying.
– The bottom section of the bracer has a protrusion that is meant to fit over the back of the wrist and slightly over the back of the hand. With the aforementioned sliding down issue, it felt like it was always pressing into the back of my hand. I ended up using an Exacto knife to carefully remove the protrusion, sanded the naked edge of the leather for a rawhide look, and recolored it. This made them a bit more comfortable while still looking good but did not resolve the sliding issue.
I imagine these would work okay if they were worn over a long sleeve and a large arm wrap to really hold them in place, but in the future I’m going to go with a lace-up option instead for a generally closer fit.
