The Acre Broadsword has been hand-forged by expert smiths with decades of experience, ensuring that it will make a fantastic weapon for your home armory. The functional sword is crafted from tough 1065 high carbon steel. Computer controlled ovens provide strength, resiliency, and edge retention, tempering the full tang blade to an RC in the low 50s. The functional blade is then expertly sharpened, and the design is finished with super strong steel parts. A stonewashed black finish gives each medieval sword a stunning look. The Acre sword comes with a scabbard.
The pieces in the Battlecry Series are individually inspected at each step of the manufacturing process. Each model is put through rigorous tests to ensure that they exceed industry standards and comes with a signed certificate.
The Siege of Acre was a critically important event during the Third Crusade of the Middle Ages, serving as a major loss for Saladin.

A beautiful Sword. The quality of the craftmanship is flawless. The stonewash finish gives it that distinctive look of a weathered blade who saw many battles.

Very happy with this sword right out of the Box! I was skeptical about the Is blackening on the blade and cross guard and pommel but having handled it this is a very nice sword well worth the money. II tested the blade a little bit on some giant ragweed and it’s about a pound heavier than my other single hand the Marshall sword But at Handel’s wonderfully if a little slower than the Marshall but that’s a pound lighter. The frog that comes with it has 2 loops and it carries the sword nicely in the scabbard. The scabbard I don’t believe it has a wooden core but but it fits snugly nugly on the blade. I don’t have to worry about going Is the wrong direction or getting too much of an angle and having the sword start to slide. All in all I’m really impressed with this period highly recommended to anybody whose Looking for a single handed sword.

Overall, a very nice blade. Fits well into the niche between the third crusade and the fall of Acre. It has a simple design for the grip and pommel making it suitable for the poorer soldier of that era.
