This style of shoulder armour corresponds with the pieces used from the end of the 14th century to the middle of the 15th century. The 15th Century Spaulders with Besagews make an excellent option for LARP events and historical re-enactments. Besagews guard the armpits, which contain several important arteries and thus deserve special protection. Upper leather straps with two extra holes on the upper border allow you to attach the steel spaulders to almost any gorget or an arming garment like a gambeson. When designing a medieval armour set, be sure to pick the right arm armour like these metal spaulders.
Please note that steel thickness may vary slightly due to the handcrafted methods used in the manufacture of this item.
When purchasing armour pieces, in order for the pieces to be compatible, it is best to stay within the brand.

These are high quality. Perfect for someone who has a gambeson where you can sew the squalders right to the shoulders of the gambeson. It makes them easy to get on, as all you need to do is put on the cloth gambeson and the shoulders come with it. These fit with my chest plate perfectly and really bring my suit together.
