These comfortable pants have the same period style and feel as the Locksley Gambeson. They come in two color options, great for hanging out in Sherwood Forest. The Locksley pants feature hand stitching down the length of the pants, which gives them a custom made feel. Made of a durable heavy cotton, the pants have an elastic waistline, allowing for an easy fit. The legs on these pants are not as wide as most of our other styles, however they are not tight either. They are available in sizes S/M or L/XL.
Key Features:
- Comes in brown or grey
- Great for Renaissance fairs and reenactments
- Decorative hand stitching down the length of the pants
- Has an elastic waistband

Tha pants are ok with a elastic waist and no pockets. Very basic but will fit in good to you garb. A heavy thiker material too.

Very comfy with a great peasant look to them. Rough-looking texture, but soft to the touch. The stitching sets them apart from your run-of-the-mill medieval costume trousers. Warning from my experience – while the tags say to dry clean only, if you decide not to follow them and wash these pants (as I did) they will shrink up significantly in length. Luckily that’s not a problem since my costume has high leggings, but just thought I should put that out there.

The only negative might be the elastic waistband, if you’re after as pure an experience as you can get from an online store. These fit very well, breathe in the south Texas heat, and look great.
Why just a 4 out of 5?

I purchased the L/XL for my 37-inch waist & the fit is nice & comfortable. The elastic waistband is not super tight around my waist, so I’m curious if I would have been better off with the Small/Medium size. I could easily wear a belt with these pants–if they had belt loops. Despite this, I do like these pants a lot. They are definitely Brown when you see them in person. On the computer, they always seemed like sort of a salmon color instead of Brown. The “hand stitching” looks different on mine than in the picture, too. My stitches are farther apart than they appear in the picture. It must be a photo from several years ago. The material is quite durable & looks historically authentic. They should last a long time. I also feel that if/when they do wear out in the waistband, a person skilled in clothing alterations could give them new life with belt loops, a drawstring closure, or some other idea. The waistband will give out before the material does. I would wear these in warm or cool weather & be equally comfortable in them. There is plenty of slack in the pant leg & the crotch doesn’t ride high, so you could wear long underwear in them during colder events. I’m not sure yet how they do after running them through the wash, but will update this review if there’s anything to report. It seems like if you wash them in cold water on a Gentle cycle & keep them out of the dryer, they should be fine. The price is pretty high for these pants, but I hope that means it’s a quality item. All the reviews I’ve read about this item indicate they are. I’m looking forward to wearing them.
