Churburg Gauntlets

Based on a 14th century original, the Churburg Gauntlets has a striking design that works well for a medieval knight or fantasy warrior. Made from 16-gauge steel, these polished gauntlets come as a pair. These gauntlets have attached leather gloves.

To begin with, the gauntlets feature hourglass-shaped cuffs that help protect the wrists and backs of the hands. Brass pieces line the edges of the wrists and backs of the hands.

Next, several plates overlap to guard each of the fingers. The brass-covered knuckle plates are outermost. Rivets attach the plates to internal leather plates that connect the steel plates. Stitching at the fingertips attaches the leather plates to the gloves.

In addition, there are leather straps across the gloves for additional security. These medieval steel gauntlets are great for historical reenactments as well as other events such as cosplay conventions, faires, and more. They match the Armour of Churburg set (AB0072), sold separately.

Care Instructions:

• This armour will arrive to you covered in protective oil. While this oil can be removed, it must be replaced with another protective maintenance product to protect your steel armour from rusting. Occasional oiling is necessary for the proper maintenance of this armour. When storing this armour, protect it from oxidation by coating it with machine oil.
