Hermann Tabard

Cut a fine figure on the battlefield or even while walking around the medieval market in the Hermann Tabard. This versatile medieval over-shirt layers great over just about anything in your historical wardrobe.

Made of a sturdy cotton canvas, this tunic length medieval tabard ends around or past the knees on most wearers. Its rugged cotton material has a diamond quilting pattern throughout that thus adds to its durability while bringing texture and detail to its look.

Mobility and versatility abound in this knights tunic. It has a round neckline. Slits on the front, back, and both sides lend the wearer greater mobility. Then, above the side slits, the knight tabard laces up the sides of the torso with sturdy cord through metal grommets.

Above that, the roomy short sleeves are detachable, adding to the versatility of this historical tabard. They attach at the top of the shoulders with sturdy lacing through metal grommets. Because they are only attached at the top, the sides and armpit of the short sleeves are left open for great range of movement even when the sleeves are attached.
