Footwear has been important all throughout history. In the middle ages shoes represented both fashion and necessity. Everyone needed to protect their feet, just like today. Modern re-enactors who find that their outfit is missing something may well be missing the perfect shoes to complement the ensemble. Our shoes are faithful to their medieval counterparts, but represent no one singular style, allowing them to be worn with a variety of outfits. Just pick the style you like and your size and you will be ready for any re-enactment or ren-faire. These Sandals were worn by Roman Legionaires and also by Peasants. Made from Leather, 1/8th inch thick with hob nail leather soles, all seams are hand sewn and are authentic in design. Our Roman Sandals are available in sizes: 7.5, 8.5, 9.5, 10.5 and 11.5.
